The SGT Simone A. Robinson Military Women Veteran’s Center was made possible with the assistance from the MacArthur Foundation staff award, a Trinka Davis Foundation grant, and the Home Depot Foundation, and the military women the center serves continue to be possible with the dedicated engagement of National Women Veterans United officers, board of directors, membership. volunteers and donors.

Renamed in September 2019 to honor the late SGT Simone A. Robinson, the SGT Simone A. Robinson Military Women Veteran’s Center is the only Military Women Veteran’s Center in the State of Illinois, and one of few across the nation to specifically address the needs of military women veterans, their families and Gold Star Families in a military women veteran’s facility, and environment.

Center features include:
~ Open space with tables and chairs for socializing.
~ Computers for creating resumes, business letters or researching resources.
~ Dance Fitness and Fitness Equipment.
~ Meditation room where it is serene for finding that space to relax the mind, body and soul in the comfortable reclining chairs donated by the VA Health Care System.
~ Create Art Therapy with Veteran Craft Kits donated by Help Hospitalized Veterans.

Child and Teen Friendly
If you have small children there are colorful small table and chairs, reading and coloring books and crayons, and puzzles. For teenagers there are books, television and computers.
