National Women Veterans United Memorial Day Tributes
National Women Veterans United honors the legacy of our fallen sisters with a series of Memorial Day tributes under the theme
“We Care About Them and We Will Remember Them.”
The observances begin Sunday, May 24th at 1:00 p.m. with a pre–Memorial Day Tribute at Fort Sheridan National Cemetery.
On Monday, May 25th, National Women Veterans United (NWVU) will host a short program and light lunch from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 8620 S. Pulaski Rd. (Lower Level). At 3:15 p.m., members will assemble to proceed to the cemetery for tributes to Simone A. Robison and Sisters. The program will feature special acknowledgments and reflections. PLEASE RSVP at NWVU.org@gmail.com Later that afternoon, at 3:45 p.m., NWVU will arrive at Washington Memorial Gardens to lay a wreath in honor of NWVU Honorary Member Ethel Crowder.
